The Centre

Web Series | 7 x 15min | Comedy

When the latest inmate, Wanda, gets admitted into The Centre—a correctional community facility funded to help juvenile delinquents transition back into society—things start to get out of hand. Power dynamics are disrupted, conspiracy theories are made, E.V. vows to align her chakras, and Daniel won’t quit talking to Satan. The Centre’s resident teenagers are quirky to say the least, but is there something more sinister at work here?

An exploration and recount of the effects of domestic violence. Based on a true story.

Based on real-life experiences and people, tragEDy is the story of a girl’s descent into anorexia.

Side-Steps + Silence

Book | 28pgs | Photography, Poetry

(Writer, Photographer, Designer) 2021

A photography book set to a poem about the bushfires currently raging across Australia and the damage they have caused. It is an expression of destitution and bleakness, anger and incredulity, yet also anticipation and hope, as told from the perspective of a politically aware young person. All photos and words are taken by the author, Juliet Lochrin, and there is intention to donate a percentage of the proceeds to the Rural Fire Service and World Wide Fund for Nature — Australia.

Adventure of You

“We tasked 26 writers with the challenge of writing one scene each, having only read the previous scene. Get ready for a play that is filled with plot holes, unexplained characters, mysteries that don’t get solved and an amazing celebration of the writers that were involved in creating these completely unique pieces of theatre.”

Presented by the Sydney University Dramatic Society (SUDS).

First performed in 2020 at the ‘Poems for Paws’ Slam Poetry fundraiser event at Sydney’s Giant Dwarf Theatre, alongside Andrew Denton, Tim Minchin, Leigh Sales, Claudia Karvan, Gracie & Barry Otto, Sarah Blasko, Rachael Coopes, and more.

Revived in 2021 at Power to Truth Cafe's lineup at Riverside Theatre.

The Penny Drop

Set in a near dystopian future, Agna works as a journalist for the political department of ‘Ignarus News’ to report on the nation’s President. In a strange turn of events dictated by a mysterious coin, Agna finds her consciousness oscillating between her dystopian present and a seemingly alternate utopian reality of her past. As she struggles to make sense of her situation, Agna is confronted with the ramifications of political indifference and naïveté, and the cultivation of mass cultural narcissism.

Big Brother

Stageplay | 30min | Drama

Betty’s older brother, James, has always been there for her, but lately he’s seemed a bit preoccupied with his new girlfriend, Bianca—the daughter of a wealthy CEO who runs a government surveillance company. Experience tells Betty not to trust Bianca, but she tries to make an effort for her brother; a difficult feat when Bianca knows just how to push her buttons…

Produced and premiered in England in May 2017.

The Double Helix

A short story for the St Andrew’s College ‘Principal’s Prose Competition’ on the theme of ‘The Double Helix’.
